Shuri, Namora, Ironheart: Meet the women of 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'

The 'Black Panther' sequel will see the rise of powerful women who band together to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T'Challa's death and to forge a new path for their kingdom. 

Letitia Wright returns as Shuri, Princess of Wakanda, younger sister of the late King T'Challa. Buzz is that she will take up the mantle of the Black Panther, as teased in the film's trailer.  

Angela Bassett will take her place on the throne of Wakanda as Queen Ramonda. With a kingdom without its king, she will be tasked to forge a new path for her people who face threats from the outside world and a hidden undersea nation. 

Mabel Cadena portrays Aquaria Nautica Neptunia, also known as Namora, the cousin of the Talocanian/Mutant hybrid Namor, who rules over the underwater kingdom of Talocan. 

Danai Gurira will be back in action as Okoye, the head of Wakanda's all-female special forces Dora Milaje. 

Lupita Nyong'o who played T'Challa's love interest Nakia, an undercover spy for Wakanda, is be another familiar face to watch out for in the upcoming sequel.  

Wakanda Forever will introduce Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams aka Ironheart. The film will mark the character's first appearance in the MCU before she appears in her stand alone series. Riri is an MIT student and genius inventor who creates a suit of armour that rivals the one built by Tony Stark aks Iron Man.
